Volunteers are needed for a variety of tasks which include helping to operate the distribution center that has been set up by the church. Also needed are people to go out with chainsaw crews to help clear brush and downed trees.
Volunteers should be prepared to do physical labor and bring appropriate protective gear such as boots, goggles, gloves and insect repellent.
Volunteers who wish to work in the Houston area in support of the clean-up and relief effort must be completely self-contained, including a place to stay and arrangements for food. People with RVs and travel trailers may park them at the Baytown LaPorte Church.
